Despite its 4-piston design, the BR-MT520 brake calliper has almost the same slim design as those with dual pistons. The pistons are insulated for improved heat management and control of brake pad wear. The four-piston design also increases modulation, allowing for a more predictable application of braking force. These are a very capable brake, suited to a wide range of conditions and riding styles. Paired with the updated BL-MT501 lever with servo wave technology makes these a great value option for the price.
